How Rughunters works

Rughunters is a community database for hunting real crypto rugs. A hunt starts with a target and a clear claim. Hunters add evidence, review the trail, vote on what holds up, and only expose a rug when the proof is strong.

How It Works

Questing through a rug trail

The game layer is there to keep the work organized. Quests give hunters clear jobs to do, XP rewards useful work, and the archive keeps finished hunts easy to read.

The records are real. If a claim cannot be checked, it should not be treated as proof. If the evidence is strong, the case can move from an open hunt to the exposed rugs archive.

  1. Quest 01
    Pick a target

    Name the token, project, wallet, or contract. Add the chain and what looks wrong.

  2. Quest 02
    Drop clues

    Add Solscan links, tx hashes, screenshots, X posts, docs, or archived pages.

  3. Quest 03
    Call backup

    Other hunters check the trail and point out missing proof, bad links, or weak claims.

  4. Quest 04
    Lock the hunt

    When the proof holds, the case can be marked confirmed and moved to exposed rugs.

  5. Quest 05
    Earn XP

    Quests reward useful work, not spam. Better evidence means better reputation.
